My first blog as a married lady
I have been remiss in blogging since the big day four months ago! But I am back and look forward to keeping ARDC fans updated. Since the happy day, Todd and I have had fun playing house and even traveling a bit. Here’s a picture of us in Chicago!

A Gift for my Sister
Hello, fellow readers!
Almost a decade ago, I gave my sister a birthday gift: AnneReeves.com. This was well before personal domains were very common and neither of us had ever heard of a weblog before. It was just the height of the Dot Com boom and I had just taken some technology courses in grad school, so why not get a website for my sister?
That gift turned out to be very defining. It was more than just a domain name; it became her nickname. She was no longer Anne Reeves, but now AnneReevesDotCom. Eventually, the nickname was shortened to ARdc.
So, when she got married earlier this month, it was not only her surname that would need to change but her domain as well. I was thrilled that her groom’s surname also began with the letter R. Not only could I make pirate jokes (her initials are now ARR), but although she’ll have a new last name, she can keep her nickname!
While she was enjoying the sun and sand with Todd in Mexico, I was busy getting her new Web identity set up: AnneReich.com.
I’m sure you are just as excited as I am to see what she does with the place!

I’ve had a great time following Brian Pierce and Nik Bristow, both of Atlanta, on WillieRun.com as they complete the first ever non-stop, cross country trip using biodiesel. Why are two guys you’ve never heard of doing this? To save the world and spread the word about renewable, ultra-efficient biodiesel, using Willie Nelson’s brand of biodiesel, called BioWillie (hence the name Willie Run). I’m not much of a tree-hugger myself, but I still think this is pretty cool.

He said he’s going to make me a pirate since my new initials will be ARR. See, he’s not only cute and smart, he’s funny! Here’s a picture of us at Bone’s just hours after our engagement.
